Models and privacy
Charlie offers two model configurations. You choose yours in the session, and our commitments on your data apply to both.
Emerit Science Team
1. Choose a configuration
- 1 Click the settings icon next to the page title, on the home screen or in a session. The Intelligence window opens.
- 2 In Choose configuration, select Config A - International or Config B – Europe (France). The (i) icon summarizes both.
Your choice is kept from one session to the next. If you make no choice, Config A applies, unless your team has decided otherwise.
2. What changes for you
The difference concerns the origin of the model providers. The models run in the European Union in both cases.
| Configuration | Model execution | Provider origin |
|---|---|---|
| Config A - International | European Union | European Union and United States |
| Config B – Europe (France) | European Union | France |
The sources and functions stay the same: Emerit Corpus, libraries, Internet, patents, diagrams and images. Since the models are not the same, two answers to the same question will not be identical.
3. When the choice isn't yours
- In a team. The administrator sets the allowed configurations and the default one. If only one remains allowed, the window says “configuration set by your team”.
- In Biodata. The configuration is imposed and the screen displays it: “Biodata always uses this configuration”. Your choice remains valid for sessions.
4. Our commitments on your data
- Charlie's core is hosted and operated in France.
- The language models run exclusively in the European Union.
- Our contracts rule out the reuse of your data to train models.
- A 100% France configuration, relying only on open models hosted in Paris, is available for organizations that request it.
The details, compliance and reference documents are in the Trust Center. For any question, write to contact@emeritscience.com.
